Help & Getting Started
FillThis is designed for PDFs that already include AcroForm fields—the fillable form elements embedded directly in the PDF. Before uploading, make sure your document has interactive fields. If you need to convert or verify a PDF, tools like Adobe Acrobat (Pro or Standard), Foxit PDF, or pdfFiller make it easy to create and edit AcroForm-enabled documents.
Workflow Overview
- 1. Upload a template. Drag in a PDF that already contains AcroForm inputs. The app extracts those fields to build the reusable template.
- 2. Configure template details. Give the template a meaningful name, adjust metadata, and toggle individual elements on or off to control what appears during fills. You only need to complete this setup once—the configuration is saved for every future Smart Fill session.
- 3. Launch Smart Fill. Provide a context prompt or relevant text snippet. The AI maps that context to the detected form elements so the fields can be pre-populated intelligently.
- 4. Review and adjust. Confirm the suggested values, make any manual edits, and ensure the toggled fields reflect what should be submitted.
- 5. Download the completed PDF. When you're happy with the mapping, generate the filled document and download it for submission or record keeping.
Tips
- Confirm the source PDF allows typing directly into its fields before uploading.
- Use descriptive template names and categories so you can find them quickly later.
- Craft concise Smart Fill context to help the AI identify the most relevant fields.
- Download and store the filled PDF promptly if you are working with sensitive data.
